With barely one week left to go, we are concentrating our efforts on two major swing state initiatives: travel, and phone banking:

  • Phone Banking. Bay Area Kerry-Edwards volunteers are making more than 40,000 calls per week to Swing States. By the time we are done, we'll easily break 500,000 calls—but more help is needed. Please join us as we make calls to get out the vote for John Kerry in critical swing states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and more. See the list of upcoming phone bank events on the right.
  • Travel. If you are able to travel to a Swing State between now and Election Day, please contact Tina Valkanoff, Road Trip to Victory Coordinator for Northern California at TinaValkanoff@aol.com, or by phone at 415-896-2681 ext. 6. Tina is coordinating all Swing State travel from the Bay Area (except Reno, NV) and can help make the most effective use of you time. To arrange travel to Reno, Nevada, please email both belle@ednbelle.com and marleo@pacbell.net.

  • Phone Calls from Home. Many of you wish to call from home—now you can. The in-home calling program has now been arranged through the John Kerry web site. Send us an email at SwingStates@SiliconValleyForKerry.com, and we'll get you started right away.

  • More ways to help. Internet phone banking and letter writing are also part of Swing State outreach. You can learn more about these efforts at www.JohnKerry.com.
