Action Meeting Notes Upcoming Events Kerry in SJ House Parties

Reminder: Volunteer Action Meeting Saturday &
Notes from the Co-Chairs

Please come to our volunteer meeting on Saturday, June 5 at 9am in Los Altos at 97 Hillview Avenue. You'll have an opportunity to find out everything that is happening in the campaign and can sign up for meaningful volunteer work to elect John Kerry the next President of the United States.

For those who attended our initial organizational meeting, and responded to our emails, you will see that we took your many recommendations to heart. Thank you. We have made good progress on fundraising, MeetUps and new volunteers and are ready for a strong push on voter registration, more fundraising activities, swing state work etc. We have strong team in place, help from the Santa Clara County Democratic Party, and new people from the Kerry national campaign team.

Now we need the most important part -- you -- to make this campaign roll to Victory! Everyone who wants to start working will have a chance to meet with the appropriate committee chairs, and start making a difference.

The meeting will be short and to the point. It will start at 9 am promptly and we hope to have it finished within an hour.

The meeting will be held at the Hillview Community Center in Los Altos. The Center is located at 97 Hillview Avenue, just a block from San Antonio Road. Hillview runs off of San Antonio, just west of the library. The meeting will be in the Hillview Hall, close to the front of the building. Signs will show you where to go.

Notes from the co-chairs

This has been called the most crucial election of a lifetime. If we continue down the path of bankrupt fiscal policy, at a time when huge new demands on our resources are looming, we threaten our economic existence. If we continue down the current disastrous foreign policy path, the new Bush policies of American unilateralism and arrogance will become set in stone. If we continue down the road of increasing social inequality and environmental decay, we will turn the clock back on decades of hard won progress... You can say no to Bush's policies, and yes to Kerry's vision--and only you can do it.

John Soper & Emy Thurber, Co-chairs, Santa Clara County for Kerry Campaign
